About the design
This piece was created to feel like a softer side of Americana.
Rather than a traditional flag motif, American Girl layers expressive brushwork, sweeping typography, stars, and floral ornament over a hand-finished red-to-white-to-blue gradient. The artwork follows the shape of the tumbler, revealing different details as the cup turns.
No two hand-finished pieces are perfectly identical. Subtle variations are part of the process and character of individually created work.
